Last year, expat JB Seligman got a wild idea: to throw a weekend of wild fun, games, boat races and music on Isla Bastimentos, in the eco-rich and culturally diverse islands of Bocas del Toro that he calls home. It was a complete success, with visitors flocking from all over the republic to take part in the games or just observe the action from the sidelines, often meaning from a boat.
The Second Annual Isla Bastimentos Boat Race Weekend has just been announced, and JB has given The Visitor the schedule of events. There will be boat races, jousting, log rolling and of course, lots to eat and drink. The whole gang converges for an evening of live music at a local nightlife spot each day.
